Elbeexpedition - Deutsche Meeresstiftung

On June 8th, the research ship ALDEBARAN set off again from Dresden, following the traces of pollutants in the Elbe River, on an extraordinary campaign journey on Europe's twelfth largest river. A total of six different research projects will be conducted on the 22-day and over 700-kilometer long journey on the only 13.5 meter long research sailboat. About 250 water and sediment samples will be collected along the entire course of the Elbe and then analyzed in the laboratory.
